ICS for LG Optimus 3D P920


ICS Update for LG P920
From many days i was searching for the ICS Update for my LG P920.
I tried many ways but some time i was in Boot loop or some time with errors in operating system.
But yesterday i got update from official website of LG.
I am sharing with all the user of LG P920 to update there mobile to Official ICS 4.0.
Important: Charge the battery to full, Use Original USB cable, Disable Firewall and antivirus on computer.
and you are doing this on your own risk.

1 Install  LG MOBILE SUPPORT TOOL  from official Website of LG.

2 Connect the mobile phone with original LG data cable




It will show your country , change it to that country in Options & Help where ICS update is available.(For my case I changed Country INDIA to United Kingdom)







3 Install Usb Driver from the tool.It will install the drivers for that particular country.

4 Tool will detect the phone and model. As you are on Android 2.2 or 2.3 it will say that there is an update    available for your mobile.Click on Start Updating.


Tool will download and update your phone.
It will take time depend upon the connection speed.For my case it  was 1 hour and 45 minutes to complete whole process.
Phone will restart after update and you are on Official Android 4.0.
Its working for me and working great.

    It is can corrupt your FLASH..... it requires continues connection...if connection down, when you are updating the FLASH....it diffidently corrupt OS of your phone.

      Thanks for commenting bro .
      I am not sure but this tool first download the update from server then install it on device.So I think when it is downloading from site there is no problem with device's OS.If connection interupt that time phone will remain on current os.And after download it will install the os from memory.I am not sure but i think like that.
      But continues connection is requied because you are downloading 350+ mb of data.

      i have done ur steps but it says no need to upgrade lg optimus 3d p920 v20c i have 2.3.5 and want to update 4.0

      I was also on v20c and 2.3.5 and after update i am on v30a and 4.0.4.
      I am from india and my tool was showing India in country.
      I changed it to United kingdom.

    im from india and yes ichanged it to uk it shows update available but when it goes to another screen of software update it says u have alrady has the latest update

      When you changed the country to uk then click on install usb driver ,it will show the list of UK models then install the usb driver,if you will continue with old drivers then it will check only india'version.

      i install usb driver it shows models and i clicked on lg p920 and istalled already i already told that i had done all ur steps

      Brother check on another system or unintall all the software related to LG on current system then restart it and install again.I can check your system by teamviewer but on moday.

      "No" there is no such problem.This is official build so there is no problem with this.
      But update this from working 2.3 Gingerbread Rom.

      And remove all drivers related to LG (even PC suite too) from your PC and restart it before you try to update it again.

      for safety reason "Yes".
      The phone will download approximately 350 Mb + data so battery necessarily required.

    i did all the steps but it says waiting for connection i have a 2.2 the lg mobile support tool seemed not to detect my lg optimus p920 any ideas ?

      Make a factory reset of your phone then retry if not detect then replace the data cable.

    dude i tried this once and it worked for me and i updated from 2.2 to 2.3 and now i am trying to update it to 4.0, which i am not able do. can u pls help i really want that 4.0 update

      Do a factory reset again...Uninstall all drivers related to LG from PC and restart computer again and install driver again.
      Use LG Mobile tool from XDA instead of Tool from LG Website.
      This may Help you.
